She loves to cook, is an excellent housekeeper and has an after school job as a janitor to help pay her tuition fees (since she doesn't want to be a burden on her grandfather). She's always polite, and is extremely (to an unbelievable extent) kind and selfless; in fact, the other characters sometimes have to tell her that she needs to look out for her own interests. Both of her parents are deceased. Her Mother, Kyoko, was a celebrated "yankee"-gang leader, and her father was a young high school teacher. Her Father died of pneumonia when Tohru was three years old and her mother of a car accident when Tohru first entered High school. Tohru is a very kind girl who is always looking on the bright side of everything. Despite the attitude anyone else shows her, she always shows kindness. She even influenced Kyo and Yuki to tone the constant fighting down.
She is usually very deep in thought, and due to this fact, she is very clumsy.
In turn for her room at Shigure's house, she cleans the house and makes all their meals for them.
And no matter how much Yuki or Kyo get depressed or angry, she never gives up trying to get them to look on the bright side.
She even blows all of her money to buy everyone chocolates for Valentine's day. Before she met Yuki and Shigure, she had been living in a tent on what she did not know was their property. Tohru was at first only offered a night there to recover from a fever. Then in the morning, Yuki asked her if she would like to stay there. Things get interesting when she finds out the Sohma family curse.

Tuesday, March 19, 2013 elbow grease dear diary, We've been blessed with clear skies and even warm weather. It wasn't any problem doing any laundry. Instead of fixing the dryer, the repairman recommended that it would be better to buy a new dryer. I didn't know if that was good news for me or not, because I wanted to pay for the charges of the repair. But buying a new dryer, can I afford buying a new one altogether? What do I do?! Well. There's one thing I can do. I'm going to have to get more hours at work. I can do it! I'm still A- Okay. 5:22 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 something can work out dear diary, It's been 3 days since the dryer broke. I feel bad when it's making this screeching sound everytime it's being used. I'm scared that it might catch on fire or something. I'm the only person that uses it. So the blame rests on me, I'm afraid. After searching the web, we found out that the dryer belt might need to be replaced. A dryer belt? Where can I buy a dryer belt? If I'll find one, I think I can replace it myself. I can just watch a video from the Internet replacing one. I just hope that it's a similar dryer. Or maybe I can ask a repairman to fix it for me. I'll pay the fees. I'll start asking for a repairman tomorrow. I'm still A- Okay. 5:28 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2013 the injured dryer dear diary, "Kyo-kun!" I hurriedly went upstairs to wake up someone! Anyone! The dryer was making a screeching sound when I turned it on! "Kyo-kun! There's a problem!" I kept knocking on the door. Shigure-san was out and Sohma-kun was tending secret base. "Geez. What is it?" He yawned. "I'm really sorry to wake you up! But--" "Calm down. Is it a burglar?" I frantically shook my head. "The house's on fire?!" I shook my head again. "WE'RE OUT OF MILK?!" "No! The dryer!" And I showed it to him. "It's making this weird screeching sound and I'm scared I'm going to break it!" Kyo-kun opened the dryer and turned it off. "Well, I think it's already broken." "No way! I broke it?! What am I going to tell Shigure-san? He's going to be really angry!" "Well, I don't really see how you can break it. That's impossible." And so the dryer's broken, diary. No one uses it, besides me. So I can't help feel responsible. I've told Shigure-san about it. And I'm worried that the repair might be expensive. It has to be repaired immediately! I don't mind paying for it, but I don't know how much the repair would cost. What am I going to do? I'm still A- Okay. 4:07 PM ![]() |
