She loves to cook, is an excellent housekeeper and has an after school job as a janitor to help pay her tuition fees (since she doesn't want to be a burden on her grandfather). She's always polite, and is extremely (to an unbelievable extent) kind and selfless; in fact, the other characters sometimes have to tell her that she needs to look out for her own interests. Both of her parents are deceased. Her Mother, Kyoko, was a celebrated "yankee"-gang leader, and her father was a young high school teacher. Her Father died of pneumonia when Tohru was three years old and her mother of a car accident when Tohru first entered High school. Tohru is a very kind girl who is always looking on the bright side of everything. Despite the attitude anyone else shows her, she always shows kindness. She even influenced Kyo and Yuki to tone the constant fighting down.
She is usually very deep in thought, and due to this fact, she is very clumsy.
In turn for her room at Shigure's house, she cleans the house and makes all their meals for them.
And no matter how much Yuki or Kyo get depressed or angry, she never gives up trying to get them to look on the bright side.
She even blows all of her money to buy everyone chocolates for Valentine's day. Before she met Yuki and Shigure, she had been living in a tent on what she did not know was their property. Tohru was at first only offered a night there to recover from a fever. Then in the morning, Yuki asked her if she would like to stay there. Things get interesting when she finds out the Sohma family curse.

Monday, May 14, 2012 there must be something we can do dear diary, I have a good news and a bad news. The good news is I now know why Shigure-san is acting weird recently. Which brings us to the bad news. Sometime during January, Akito-san collapsed in the Sohma main estate then she was admitted in the hospital. At first they thought it was aneurysm, but Hatori-san ruled that out. There were no indication of brain damage or any internal bleeding, and Akito-san eventually woke up in the hospital. However, she was not speaking. Shigure-san had become worried of what happened. Actually, he's become very worried because until now, Akito-san is not talking to anyone. Shigure-san said that there is nothing physically wrong with Akito-san. Hatori-san couldn't find anything wrong with Akito-san. So Shigure-san is grinding his mind thinking what is wrong. We're already in May and Akito-san is still not talking. Is there a possibility that she's become mute? Highly unlikely. It's silly I would think as such since Hatori-san did not find anything wrong. I'm just relieved that Akito-san eats. I'm worried of Shigure-san too. He's almost letting himself go. It's like Shigure-san is also depressed, which is a rare sight for me. When a member of the family is troubled, everybody in the family gets troubled. One joy spells joy for everybody, and a sorrow of one means a sorrow of all. I wish there was something that I could do to help. On another note, Kyo-kun has been asking me what would my plans are during the summer break. He's asked me twice now. It's funny, because when I told Kyo-kun that he asked me his same question, he said, 'forget I asked!' I wonder why Kyo-kun would ask for my summer plans. I'm still A- Okay. 4:56 PM ![]() |
